Outdoor Living Spaces

behind the scenes

When it comes to outdoor renovations and custom pool installations, it can be tempting to assume everything is done properly just because it looks good.

We will guide you through a project we completed, demonstrating how we construct long-lasting results in a step-by-step manner.

Step 1. Excavation

The first step in creating your dream backyard is to start with a blank slate, or a clean canvas, to work with.

Before we begin your backyard renovation project, we must remove all soils, concrete, and grass to ensure a clean slate to work on. These materials will be stripped away and hauled out of your property.

To accomplish this task quickly and effectively, we must employ excavators and other types of machinery.

Step 2. Install The Pool

With a clean and empty space, we can now begin installing the main attraction;

Your unique swimming pool is built into the ground.

Ensuring precision and accuracy during the installation of your inground pool is crucial, as its structural soundness depends entirely on the quality of the workmanship.

Step 3. Structural Preperation

Currently, there are many options for custom features such as a cabana or feature wall with spillway, each of which requires its own strong and sturdy structure.

The photo illustrates the process of constructing footings to support the weight of a large retaining wall.

Without the proper footings installed, the weight of the retaining wall could cause damage to the inground pool’s structure over a period of time.

Step 4. Custom Feature Installation

With the groundwork completed, we can begin constructing the unique features selected in the design process.

Whether it’s a decorative wall, outdoor shelter, shade structure, fire pit, or other custom feature – we possess the necessary expertise and ability to complete these tasks.

In this image, we installed approximately 15,000 pounds of block to create a retaining wall, which prevents the taller yard of the neighboring property from intruding.

Step 5. Patio Installation

Now it’s time to lay down the patio as part of the backyard renovation project.

Typically, the patio area around the inground pool is constructed using either stone pavers or slabs, or concrete.

For this particular project, we laid down approximately 1000 square feet of concrete.

We added angled control joints to the concrete patio, which not only give it a modern look but also prevent cracking.

Step 6. Landscaping / Finishing Touches

This is the exciting moment we’ve been waiting for. All the work has been completed, and it’s now time to finish up the final details on the checklist.

At this stage, we usually complete the final touches of the landscaping, tidy up the inground pool and surrounding area, and address any remaining cleanup tasks.

We are currently using pressure washers and brooms to clean up the area, reaching the final 100% completion mark of your outdoor renovation project.

Step 7. Relax & Enjoy

Relax and enjoy yourself by putting your feet up, getting some water guns, and cooking on your BBQ.

Your in-ground swimming pool has been constructed, and your outdoor renovation is now complete.

Rest assured, we guide you through the entire project and provide instructions on how to maintain pool chemistry and operate all your pool equipment.

Before & After

What an extensive and thorough transformation of your backyard!

In the picture taken before the renovation, the backyard was not functional. The slope took up almost half of the area, leaving the clients with very limited space.

Our primary goal was to create a larger area that can be utilized and enjoyed, which revolves around a stunning combination of a pool and a spillway.

To create more space in the backyard, we constructed a sturdy wall that keeps the neighbor’s elevated yard in place.
